Overview
Intro
Apps are optional products layered on top of core ShipManta. They shape the customer's checkout (delivery dates, shipping prices, add-ons, upsells), your packing costs (rate shopping, packaging), and your operational data (inventory sync, destination weather). Each app is gated by plan and by permission, so the menu shows only what your plan includes and your role allows.
The apps
| App | What it does | Who cares | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delivery Calendar | Delivery date selection at checkout, capacity, exceptional days, dated order calendar | Stores promising delivery dates | Pro, Enterprise |
| Add-On Products | Offer add-ons in cart / checkout flows | Merchandising | Enterprise |
| Upsells | Upsell offers with full analytics | Merchandising | Enterprise |
| Shipping Rates | Checkout rate profiles — zones, groups, triggers, rules, tester | Whoever owns shipping prices | Enterprise |
| Rate Shopper | Compare all carriers at pack time, pick by policy, track savings | Warehouse cost control | Enterprise |
| Inventory Management | Keep products, variants, and quantities in sync with Shopify | Catalog and ops | Enterprise |
| Weather | Destination forecasts on matching shipments and documents | Livestock, plants, perishables | Enterprise |
| Carrier Claims | Find late FedEx and UPS labels, export a filing packet, track recovered credits | Ops / finance recovering postage | Pro, Enterprise |
| POS Extensions | Switch Shopify POS screens on or off: Line Item Info (custom data) and Line Item Price (unit price), plus links to Add-Ons / Upsells | Retail staff capturing per-item details and misc pricing | Enterprise |
How an app is "on"
Four layers have to line up:
- Plan — the app must be included in your subscription. Locked apps show an Upgrade badge in the sidebar.
- Permission — your role needs the app's view (and for changes, manage) permission — see Collaboration → Roles.
- Store activation (Apps hub) — every app has a master On / Off switch on the Apps page. New stores start with all apps off. Turning a switch on activates the app for this store without deleting its configuration; turning it off stops checkout/storefront/ops behaviour for that app immediately — including Shopify carrier rates, checkout UI extensions, theme/app-proxy offers, POS screens, cart transforms, and delivery-date validation.
- The app's own settings — after activation, configure the app as usual: shipping profiles, calendars, offers, Enable Weather / Rate Shopper / Inventory / Carrier Claims inside the app, per-calendar enable, per-POS-extension enable, and so on.
Existing stores keep their apps activated when this hub switch was introduced, so nothing turns off until you deactivate it.
Two sides of shipping money
- What the customer pays at checkout → Shipping Rates
- What you pay the carrier and for packaging → Rate Shopper and Reports
Configuring both keeps margin visible on every order.

Webhook Status
Live webhook traffic from Shopify, delivery history, connection health, and a log of every checkout rate request — the first stop when orders or updates stop flowing.
Delivery Calendar
Offer delivery dates at checkout, cap daily capacity, block exceptional days, and see dated orders on a calendar.
